We would love to invite you to come and share in the results of our period of development for ‘bloom’ on November 16th & 17th, 2018.
‘bloom’ is a new mixed ability movement piece written and directed by Tiffany Tjosvold, featuring original music by composer Ari Kinarthy and poems by Luka Garvin. Featuring Alida Kelly, Claire Bruce, Dublin Chester, Serena Martin, and Rachel Levy, this piece explores ideas of transformation, community, and mental health.

There will be three distinct showings of ‘bloom’ with different characteristics:
Friday, Nov. 16 at 7pm – Conventional Showing: All lighting and sound cues will be at conventional theatrical levels.
Saturday, Nov. 17th at 2pm – Relaxed Performance: In this showing there will be more relaxed front of house protocol, lower levels for sound cues, increased space between seats, and adjusted lighting.
Saturday, Nov. 17th at 7pm – High Volume, Multi-Sensory: Volume will be increased in order for audiences who are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing to be able to feel the music. Adjustments will be made with lighting to support those who are low vision.
Venue Notes: Intrepid Theatre Club is wheelchair accessible and has two all gender single user washrooms.
This event takes place on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lekwungen peoples, now known as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations.
