Classes

Tiffany teaches two dancers. The face each other, one is in a wheelchair, one is on the floor with a foot raised.

Embrace runs a variety of arts based classes for children, teens, and adults of all abilities. Some of these classes are run independently by Embrace and some are run in collaboration with other fantastic local organizations based in the CRD.

Musical Theatre with Tiffany and Devon (Fall 2025)

 

Join Tiffany and Devon for a fun filled musical theatre inspired dance class. We'll be moving and grooving to hits from the stage and big screen. This class is taught with seated and standing variations and is suitable for dancers of all abilities. 

 

Program Details

- Thursday from 10:00am - 10:45am

- September 11th - October 16th

- Dance Victoria (2750 Quadra St)

- For ages 14 and up

-This class is by donation. We are able to offer this class with no set registration fee thanks to the generous support of Four Seasons Musical Theatre Society

Seated Dance (Fall 2025)

This high energy program is designed to get your body moving. We'll be dancing together to a soundtrack spanning different musical genres including pop, latin, jazz, and more. Taught from a seated position, this class is designed in a way to be suitable for adults of all abilities and fitness levels.

 

Program Details

- Wednesdays from 10:15 - 11:00am

- October 8th - November 26th

- Garry Oaks Room (1335 Thurlow Rd) in partnership with the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association

- For adults (ages 18+)

- $60.00 for 8 weeks

Registration opens on August 1st on the Fairfield Gonzales Association Website. 

Move with Me (Fall 2025)

Move with Me is a movement and music program designed for children ages 2 to 4 and their caregivers. This class is an opportunity to explore together with dance, music, and movement-based activities.

 

Program Details

- Wednesdays from 11:15am - 12:00pm

- October 8th - November 26th

- Garry Oaks Room (1335 Thurlow Rd) in partnership with the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association

- For children ages 2 to 4 and their caregivers

- $60.00 for 8 weeks

Online Sessional Classes

Dance Fitness with Tiffany (Fall 2025)

 

Dance Fitness with Tiffany is a chance to get your body moving in a safe and fun way. We'll be dancing to a wide range of music from pop to country to jazz and more. This class is taught from a seated position, but instructions will be provided for both seated and standing participants. This class is suitable for adults of all abilities.  

Program Details

- Wednesdays from 3:45pm to 4:30pm PST

- September 17th to November 19th

- Online via Zoom

- For adults (ages 18+)

- $35.00 for 10 weeks of classes*

Music Jam with Erin (Fall 2025)

 

Music Jam with Erin is an intergenerational online program centered on music and community. Participants are invited to sing and dance along at home or simply enjoy listening to a wide variety of live and recorded music. The program also includes opportunities to make song requests and share weekly highlights. It is a fun, joy-filled space to connect through music. 

 

No previous musical experience required. Open nationally to individuals of all ages.

 

Program Details

- Tuesday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm PST

- September 9th to November 25th. (No Class on Sept. 30th or November 11th) 

- Online via Zoom

- For individuals of all ages and abilities

- $45.00 for 10 weeks of classes*

 In-Person Classes at
Vertical Performing Arts

We partner with Vertical Performing Arts offer studio classes that run with the school year (September to June). This paid program is run through Vertical Performing Arts and the team.

The dance studio is located at 6021 West Saanich Rd.

 

This year the following classes will be offered on Saturday mornings for the 2025/2026 dance year:

  • Adapted Tap/Jazz/Musical Theatre (Ages 16+) - Taught by Melissa Wetmore

  • Adapted Music and Movement (Ages 8-18) - Taught by Tiffany Tjosvold

  • Adapted Dance Fitness (Ages 13+) -Taught by Tiffany Tjosvold
